Rob was appointed Gen-i Client Executive for IAG in July 2007, having been Gen-i’s IAG Client Manager from January 2004. Since joining Gen-i Rob has developed a high IAG account profile within Gen-i and maintained IAG as Gen-i’s number 1 IT customer.
Rob has an extensive IT background founded on 16 years with IBM encompassing application development, technical specialisation, management and sales roles in the solutions and enterprise systems architecture areas of IBM’s business. During his time at IBM Rob developed a comprehensive understanding of the IT disciplines and technologies required to make IT successful for large Corporates. Rob left IBM to further his sales experience in the niche solutions space and develop a knowledge and understanding for non IBM IT. This marketplace experience led to Rob joining Computerland Wellington and becoming their Sales Manager, a role he held for 4 years. During this time Rob was responsible for the growth and development of Computerland’s IT Services business in the Wellington region and consequently led to Rob joining Gen-i to further his passion for customer service excellence.
