Gen-i's Managed ICT customers are set to be prime beneficiaries of the group’s $30M core IP network upgrade.

Gen-i’s Managed Services now incorporates IP WAN with Mid Band Ethernet access into a single end-to-end service level guarantee.

The tier one national IP network uses the latest generation carrier-grade, Multi-Gigabit Ethernet transmission through an extensive in-building fibre network and more than 90 exchanges capable of serving more than 150,000 businesses nationally.

The new network interconnects with Gen-i’s existing Trans-Tasman and Global IPVPN leveraging Telecom New Zealand’s 50% ownership of the Southern Cross cable system and global carrier partnerships to more than 800 locations worldwide.
