Gen-i streamlined the Enterprise Blackberry management of a leading financial institution.
The Challenge
One of Australia’s leading financial institutions had an urgent need to more effectively and efficiently manage their widely-sourced fleet of Blackberry mobile phones. The phones’ users also needed to be able to access real-time, online information services such as Reuters and Bloombergs.
Gen-i’s Solution
A centrally managed system was developed featuring a 24x7 helpdesk, warranty management, asset management and sparing for a fleet of 1,400+ handsets world-wide. The fleet was integrated with individual business, voice and data systems to create a unified, state-of-the-art communications network. To reduce self-management complexity, all third party applications, hardware and carrier relationships were managed by Gen-i.
The Results
The client’s support, hardware and carriage costs, as well as the time spent managing them, have all been significantly reduced. A more reliable domestic and global roaming user support service is now in place. Users also enjoy a competitive advantage by having access to real-time market information wherever they are.
